St. Pauli: Harbor Street-Beach Gem

Visit St. Pauli by day! We will show you interesting areas like the Harbor Street with its occupied houses, a school yard on the roof and a park created and organized by the residents. In the Großen Freiheit you will visit the Gartendeck, a large temporary urban garden. Here a community sows seeds, plants, weeds, waters and tests how one can transform unused space into productive greenery.

The new Elbe promenade is known as a string of pearls, with rows of unique buildings. In the old malthouses, cold warehouses, fish smokehouses and storehouses, new housing styles can be found next to the old purposes.

The tour will end with a ferry ride back into the Harbor City.

Duration: 2.5 Hours,  Group Price: 280€ for max. 30 Pers.

Suitable for upper school classes in the subjects of Economics, Geography, Social Studies, Biology and Art.

Information about Hamburg’s public transportation system and tickets can be found here: Tickets for School Children or Group Tickets for 5 Persons
