Renewable Energies in Munich

Munich is the venue for the world’s largest trade fair for solar energy, called the Intersolar. The city of Munich, with its 1.35 Million inhabitants, is already very active as it is. Since 2015, Munich’s municipal utility has produced large amounts of electricity using its own renewable energy systems, such as the amount of energy needed to supply all private households. By 2030, the city hopes to fulfill the goal of providing sufficient renewable electricity to the grid, so as to supply “green electricity” to all business-related activities.

During an excursion, Innovation Academy would present this concept and its successful implementation through geothermal energy, hydroelectric, solar thermal, photovoltaic and wind power plant energy sources.
