Trip Description
The focus of the mission are by coach to visit the two cities of Freiburg and Munich.When it comes to solar power, GreenCity Freiburg plays in the first League. The prefix "Solar" takes this into all areas of life and part of everyday life:
Solares league stadium, plus energy houses with solar housing, solar Hotel, City Hall solar, solar modernization, solar plant, solar research, solar energy development plan, solar sludge drying, solar greenhouse.
The city of Munich, with its 1.35 million inhabitants, is pursuing an ambitious goal:
By the year 2015, the public utilities as much electricity from its own renewable-energy systems feed into the network, such as Munich consume all households. Program
Day 1:
Introductory Talk to the GREEN CITY Freiburg, visit the medieval city core and the internationally known model city district Vauban with the solar and energy plus house settlement of the solar architect Rolf Disch.
Day 2:
Tour of solar highlights in Freiburg: Solar modernization of high-rises, most environmentally friendly hotel in the world, award-winning headquarters of Solar-Fabrik Freiburg, solar football stadium. In the afternoon visit of an energy community, which covers 140% of their demand with renewable energies.
Day 3:
Visit a solar research institute in Lörrach, a PV system on a large green roofs in Basel and visit a solar farm on a former landfill. Bus transfer and accommodation near Munich.
Day 4:
Keynote address "Munich at 100% renewable" and bus tour with visits to projects in the fields of geothermal, photovoltaic, solar thermal, hydro and wind power.

He organizes seminars and workshops on the subjects of sustainable city planning, solar architecture and renewable energies. |
Organizer
