A Hike with the themes of Energy, Climate and Landscape
  • How does the forest react to the changing climate?
  • What potential can renewable energies offer us?
  • How does what we eat influence climate change?
  • What is nature, what is landscape?
The goal of this walk through this varied landscape is to illustrate these and other fascinating subjects.
We will see two large wind turbines, visit a mountain restaurant that relies solely on its own energy source, and stop at a climate monitoring station where Europe’s longest measuring documentation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is being carried out.
Motivated by participating in a rally, school children test their knowledge and ability to combine it with practical results. They learn the relevance for their daily lives: How can I save energy myself, be gentle on resources, and change my consumer behavior so that I release less climate damaging CO2?

Hike subjects are:
  • Wind, Solar and Hydro-energy
  • The Greenhouse Effect
  • Nature and Landscape
  • Forest and Climate Change
  • Sustainable Food

Tours of the monitoring station depend on its availability.

Tour duration: 6 hours

Price for groups up to 30 people, incl. guide: 525 Euros
